Tuesday – An article in The New York Times by Charles Duhigg detailed just how much information companies collect and how they utilize predictive analytics to figure out what people want almost before they know they want it. Wednesday — Three dozen state attorneys general sent a letter to Google CEO Larry Page, demanding that he meet with them regarding the company’s proposed privacy changes, scheduled to take effect March 1. The courtesy of a reply has been requested by February 29th.
Thursday — The White House released its long-awaited “Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights”.
